Our Jack’s Masterpiece comes from many vineyard sources and appellations, but tends to be dominated by mountain fruit. Vineyards planted in mountain terrains produce vines smaller in stature but with more concentrated grapes. These grapes provide the basis for the dense, powerful structure of this wine.

The 2019 vintage is powerfully aromatic with effusive notes of blackberry, 5-spice, black pepper and cocoa on the nose. The palate is brooding and opulent; full of deep dark flavor, that is supported by notes of graphite and spicy oak. The finish is intense and focused; showcasing the power of Napa Valley's premiere hillside vineyards.

The Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon is the pinnacle of our blending efforts each year. The exalted Sacrashe vineyard takes center stage, and is the basis of this blend. From there, we search out complementary vineyards, from the most regarded mountain appellations, to create balance, symmetry and finesse in the wine.

Inky garnet in color. Open, effusive nose with freshly turned earth, dark spice, chocolate, ripe dark blackberry, and graphite. Supple on the entry; lush, broad, opulent, full of mid-palate fruit and sleek tannin with a lengthy finish.

The fruit for our “Eighteen Seventy-Three” hails from the rugged mountain slopes that frame Napa Valley. Power and individuality underscore this wine, a deliberate intent to commemorate the trailblazing spirit of Napa’s first vintners.

Dark garnet in color. Opens with powerful aromas of ripe blackberry, wet stone, and intense, yet integrated oak. The palate is loaded with Sacrashe driven tannin, and concentrated blackberry notes. Spicy oak notes of nutmeg, cocoa nib, and clove add another layer of complexity.
